There is an increasing trend for Government services to be taken online. Following on from Passport applications and Tax Returns, the next big push is to make medical services available online. From booking appointments, through consultations and even prescribing medication, the whole process could be streamlined through an effective mobile app or website design. As these developments come in to place it is important that service providers are preparing themselves by developing the services that people are coming to expect. If they fall behind then they may come across as outdated and lose popularity.
As part of a recent project with Animal Trust, we were asked to integrate their booking system with a new website we were developing for them. People are now able to find the nearest practice, view the opening hours and book an appointment – all from their mobile phone.
